ACA Healthcare

The passing of The One Big Beautiful Bill (OBBB), seen by many Americans as an attack on the affordable care of our healthcare system. If Congress does not extend the subsidies for the Affordable Care Act, the policies implemented by OBBB would make it more challenging for individuals to enroll and could certainly result in higher premiums by reducing the amount of available tax credits. According to the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), it is estimated that at least 3 million current marketplace enrollees would lose coverage. The bill passed by Congress will enhance premium tax credits, which will lower costs for many people. It will disqualify certain groups, like DACA recipients. It will not only increase the uninsured rate, but will disrupt the marketplace. This bill that passed Congress will hurt everyday Americans by cutting social programs like Medicaid and SNAP and giving massive tax breaks to billionaires.

I will fight for health care that is a fundamental right for all Americans and will make sure everyone has access to quality and affordable health care which is the reason I am running for Congress. I will work tirelessly to expand health care accessibility and work across the aisle to produce legislation that will continue with affordable healthcare, in San Diego and across the country. As part of the legislature branch, I will help secure funding to build our healthcare back better.  As a congressional member, I will help build a Universal Healthcare coverage that for sure will surely bring the cost of prescription drugs down for all Americans. The American people want to see Congress act on expanding Medicaid/Medicaid, and to ensure all Americans have affordable healthcare.

I believe in Universal Healthcare for all and that the Federal Government should be the one to negotiate prescription drug prices so that all Americans can afford the prescription they need.
