Every San Diegan deserves a safe, affordable place to call home. Yet, rising rents, limited housing supply, and stagnant wages have pushed working families, teachers, nurses, and young professionals out of the city they love. This plan focuses on building more homes, protecting tenants, and ensuring long-term affordability across every neighborhood.
One of my goals in Congress would be to increase the supply of safe, affordable homes for all incomes while preventing displacement and homelessness. Prioritize housing development and preservation in historically excluded neighborhoods and ensure policies reduce segregation. I will mandate language access, culturally competent outreach, and targeted programs for veterans, seniors, survivors of domestic violence, and immigrants.
