On my first day in Congress, I will work tirelessly to ensure that every American has a fair chance at a stable and dignified life. I know, from speaking with everyday working-class people, that their families are feeling the weight of rising grocery costs due to the Trump Administration’s Tariffs. The prices of housing, healthcare, education, and energy continue to climb, and far too often wages cannot keep pace. When talking to my constituents, they feel they are working harder than ever but feel that the cost of simply living with dignity has slipped out of reach. It is not enough for opportunity to exist in just words, but it must be economically accessible in practice.
My goal is to commit to the public good, to restore balance, trust, and to make essential opportunities economically accessible for every American. Affordability has always been a dignified concern for Americans. I believe in practical, results-driven solutions that put people first and not just the rich. The essentials of American life must be financially attainable for every American, not just those at the top. I will aim to champion policies that expand the supply of affordable housing, promote fair competition in the marketplace, and reduce unnecessary burdens on working-class Americans. I will work to ensure that healthcare is cost-effective a affordable, that education opens doors rather than closes them, and that energy remains within reach for every American, rural, and urban alike.
For years, Americans have heard promises about lowering costs but promises alone do not put food on the table and do not enable Americans to buy a home. Working-class people don’t seek luxury, but a demand for fairness. A place where essential goods and services are financially attainable for every household, not just the privileged few. Housing must be more than a dream. It must be within reach for working-class families. No parent should have to choose between paying rent and putting healthy food on the dinner table. No young person should be forced to abandon their aspirations because education is priced beyond their means. No senior should face uncertainty simply because medication has become too expensive.
My vision for the American people is simple: we must be a nation where the basic pillars of life, are making things much more affordable for the American people, such as housing, healthcare, lower drug costs, Childcare, education, and energy. These things must be accessible to all and not gated by wealth. For Americans to achieve this, we must enact policies grounded in economic fairness.
