I have been a union member for over 16 years. I strongly believe that standing for workers and unions means backing fair wages, safe workplaces, dignity on the job, and the right to organize, and showing up in real, concrete ways. I am a strong believer that standing and fighting with workers and unions will make labor rights in our community stronger, our jobs safer and our economy fairer.
I stand by my belief that workers must be able to form unions without fear or retaliation. I support protections against union busting, a faster union election process, stronger penalties for employers who fire or intimidate workers, and lastly, letting workers unionize when a majority signs on.
